Description
Papers of a society formed in 1825, whose members are descendants of those Norwegians who emigrated in 1825 on the sloop "Restaurationen", consisting of articles, correspondence, clippings, pictures, programs, and reports. The papers include Olaf M. Norlie's letters to Joseph M. Johnson, president of the Society from 1929 to 1949, regarding the Lars Larson house in Rochestor, New York, considered the first house built by Norwegians in the United States a thesis presented to the faculty of Wagner College, entitled "The Descendants of Lars Larson, 'Slooper', in the New World" by Dorrrit Weill (1955).
