Correspondence, articles, clippings, and accounts concerning the settlement of Griggs County, Dakota Territory (1881), and pioneer life there. Letters written by Mrs. McMahon's parents, Ole Lima (1860-1931) and his wife Martha (1868-1900), make up the bulk of the collection. Translations of most of the letters and accounts are by Mrs. McMahon.
